  1. Mix dry ingredients.
  2. Beat the egg, oil and milk together.
  3. Make a well in the centre of the flour mix and pour in the milk mix.
  4. Beat until it forms an even batter. The batter will be thick. Stir in vanilla essence.
  5. Leave to rest at room temperature for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Pour the batter into a waffle iron and cook until the waffle is golden.
  7. Serve with fresh fruits and whipped cream.
