  1. Preheat oven to 180C (oven + grill).
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a medium frying pan and add the sliced onions and mushrooms.
  3. Saute until softened but not brown. Set aside
  4. Slice the Turkish rolls. Place the rolls in an oven-proof pan.
  5. On the bottom halves, evenly spread the caramelised onions & mushrooms. Top with shredded roast and cheddar cheese.
  6. Place the rolls in the oven and toast for 2-3 minutes (until the cheese has melted and slightly toasted.
  7. Top with jalapenos and your favourite vegetables. I like to sliced tomatoes and butter lettuce for some freshness.
  8. Add your favourite sauces. I like to use ketchup, Dijon mustard, and mayonnaise.
